Habitat

Tarpon are becoming rare, however, they may be found in shallow, coastal waters and lower reaches of freshwater rivers and streams

Size and Catch Limits
 

As of January 2019, Anglers are not allowed to keep Tarpon without applying for a special tag.  If over 40", the fish must be kept in the water at all times.
